Community Guidelines

Our Mission

Buzzaboo connects strangers around the world for random one-on-one video chats. Our mission is to create a platform that is safe, respectful, and fun for everyone. These Community Guidelines exist to protect our users and ensure every conversation on Buzzaboo is a positive experience.

Age-Based Matching

Buzzaboo uses age-based matching to protect all users, especially minors:

• Users under 13: Not permitted on Buzzaboo. Accounts belonging to users under 13 will be terminated immediately.
• Users aged 13–17: Matched exclusively with other users aged 13–17. Minors will never be paired with adult users.
• Users aged 18+: Matched exclusively with other adult users (18 and older).

Age verification is required at signup. Misrepresenting your age is a violation of these guidelines and our Terms of Service.

Private Mode

Buzzaboo gives you control over your privacy with Private Mode:

• Enable at any time: You can toggle Private Mode on or off during any chat session.
• No recording or clipping: When Private Mode is active, your chat will not be recorded, clipped, or shared in any way.
• Private by default: You can set Private Mode as your default in your account preferences, so every chat starts private.
• Visible indicator: Both you and your chat partner will see a clear indicator when Private Mode is active.

Auto-Clipping

When neither participant has Private Mode enabled, chats may be automatically clipped and shared publicly on Buzzaboo:

• What gets clipped: Our system captures highlights such as genuine laughter, extended engaging conversations, and other memorable moments.
• Both users must be non-private: Auto-clipping only occurs when both participants have Private Mode turned off. If either user enables Private Mode, clipping stops immediately.
• Consent through usage: By using Buzzaboo without Private Mode enabled, you consent to the possibility that portions of your chat may be clipped and shared publicly on the platform.
• Clip management: You can request removal of any clip featuring you through your account settings.

Prohibited Behavior

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited on Buzzaboo:

Indecent Exposure & Sexual Content

• Nudity, sexual acts, or sexually explicit behavior on camera
• Sexually suggestive behavior directed at other users
• AI-powered content detection automatically monitors for this and will issue immediate suspensions

Harassment, Threats & Hate Speech

• Verbal abuse, threats, intimidation, or bullying
• Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
• Stalking or repeated unwanted contact

Exploitation of Minors

• ZERO TOLERANCE. Any form of child exploitation, grooming, or inappropriate behavior involving minors will result in an immediate permanent ban and a report to law enforcement authorities.

Spam, Advertising & Solicitation

• Unsolicited advertising, promotion, or commercial solicitation
• Repeatedly skipping users to spam promotional messages
• Directing users to external websites, services, or products

Impersonation

• Pretending to be another person, a Buzzaboo staff member, or a public figure
• Using fake profile information to misrepresent your identity or age

Sharing Personal Information

• Sharing another person's personal information (name, address, phone number, etc.) without their explicit consent
• Doxxing or threatening to reveal private details about your chat partner

External Recording & Redistribution

• Using screen recording software or external cameras to capture Buzzaboo chats for redistribution outside the platform
• Uploading Buzzaboo conversations to other websites or social media without the consent of all participants

Automated Safety

Buzzaboo uses AI-powered content detection to keep the platform safe:

• In-browser detection: AI content analysis runs directly in your browser to detect inappropriate content in real time.
• Protecting minors: Automated safety systems are especially focused on protecting users under 18 from harmful content and behavior.
• Automatic enforcement: Indecent exposure and other visually detectable violations trigger automatic suspensions without requiring a manual report.
• Privacy-conscious: Detection is designed to identify policy violations only. It does not store or transmit the content of your conversations beyond what is needed for safety enforcement.

Suspension System

Violations of these guidelines result in escalating suspensions:

How Violations Are Detected

• AI-detected violations: Indecent exposure suspensions are issued automatically by our AI content detection system. These take effect immediately.
• User-reported violations: Other violations (harassment, spam, hate speech, etc.) can be reported by your chat partner and are reviewed by our moderation team before action is taken.

Exceptions: Exploitation of minors results in an immediate permanent ban regardless of prior offense history, along with a report to law enforcement.

Reporting

If your chat partner violates any of these guidelines, you can report them using the report button available during and after every chat session. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team and appropriate action will be taken. You may also contact us at safety@buzzaboo.com for urgent safety concerns.

Be a Great Chat Partner

Beyond following the rules, we encourage everyone on Buzzaboo to:

• Be kind: A friendly greeting goes a long way. Treat every stranger the way you would like to be treated.
• Respect boundaries: If someone is uncomfortable with a topic, change the subject. If they want to end the chat, let them go gracefully.
• Use Private Mode when desired: There is no shame in wanting a private conversation. Use Private Mode whenever you prefer not to be clipped.
• Have fun: Buzzaboo is about meeting new people and having great conversations. Enjoy the experience!
